Custom kitchen cabinets & joinery in Melbourne
Custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, laundry and wardrobe joinery – measured, made and installed for homes and businesses across Melbourne. Affordable custom cabinetry, direct from our South East Melbourne team.

Made to measure, priced fairly
Flat-pack is cheap until it doesn’t fit. We measure on site, draw it up, and build to the millimetre using board and laminates from trusted Australian suppliers such as Polytec and Laminex.
Wet areas get moisture-resistant (HMR) board and sealed edges as standard, so vanities and laundries last.

How much do custom kitchen cabinets cost in Melbourne?
Current Melbourne price guides (October 2026) put custom kitchen cabinetry from a cabinet maker at about $12,600–$36,750, with around $20,000 typical. Size, board and finish, hardware and the benchtop make the difference. We give a fixed price after measuring.
Are custom cabinets more expensive than flat-pack?
Usually a little, but not always. Flat-pack needs fillers and adjustments to fit, and installation is extra. Because we make and install our own cabinetry, our custom prices are often close to good flat-pack once installation is included – and everything fits.
How long does custom cabinetry take?
Usually 4–6 weeks from approved drawings to installation. Special finishes such as two-pack or timber veneer can take longer.
What is waterproof cabinetry?
Cabinetry made from moisture-resistant (HMR) board with sealed edges and suitable hardware. We recommend it for bathrooms, laundries and outdoor kitchens.
Which brands do you use?
We use board, laminates and doors from established Australian suppliers including Polytec and Laminex, and timber products from Big River.
Do you supply cabinetry to builders?
Yes. We supply and install joinery for builders and developers, and can supply only.
Can you replace just the doors and benchtop?
Yes. A door and benchtop refresh is a cost-effective way to update a kitchen when the carcasses are still sound.
What is HMR board?
HMR means High Moisture Resistant particleboard – usually green inside and faced with melamine. It resists swelling from steam and splashes, so it is the standard for kitchens, vanities and laundries. It is moisture resistant, not waterproof.
16mm or 18mm board – which should I choose?
16mm is the common carcass thickness in Australian kitchens and is strong enough for standard cabinets. 18mm is stiffer and sags less on wide shelves, so it is worth it for pantries, wide shelving and heavy-use cabinets.
Which door finish should I choose?
From lowest to highest cost: melamine, laminate, vinyl wrap, then 2-pac painted doors. Laminate is the best value for hard-wearing flat doors; 2-pac suits painted colours and shaker profiles. See our full materials guide for the pros and cons.
